Questions & answers

Everything restaurant owners usually ask before trying Next Stop Timer.

What is Next Stop Timer?

Next Stop Timer is a commercial kitchen timer app for iPad. Cooks tap a food photo to start a preset timer, and several batches can run at once. A loud alarm sounds and the card flashes red when the food is ready.

How much does Next Stop Timer cost?

Next Stop Timer costs $29 CAD per month for each location. Every new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial.

Can I cancel during the free trial?

Yes. You can cancel any time before day 7 from your iPad's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, and you won't be charged. Apple handles the trial, billing and cancellation.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Timers run on the iPad itself and use start and end times, so they stay accurate even if Wi‑Fi drops or the screen is locked and reopened.

Can the alarm play through a Bluetooth speaker?

Yes. Connect the iPad to a Bluetooth speaker in iPad Settings, open Next Stop Timer and tap the screen once. Alarms then play through the speaker so the whole line can hear them.

How do cooks stop a finished timer?

Double‑tap the flashing red card. The timer clears and is saved to history. An Undo button appears for 4 seconds in case of a mistake.

Can I run more than one batch of the same item?

Yes. Tap the same card again to start another batch. The card shows a ×2, ×3 badge and one dot per batch, and the soonest batch counts down on the card.

Does it work on Android?

An Android version for Google Play is coming. Today you can use Next Stop Timer on iPad, or in any modern browser on a tablet.

What hardware do I need?

Any iPad that runs a current version of iPadOS. No special timer hardware is needed — commercial hardware timers often cost hundreds of dollars and wear out in a year or two.
